MLM Marketing, MLM Lead Generation Online

Filed in archive MLM Techniques on May 14, 2010

Forget the old school methods of MLM marketing and MLM lead generation like signing up friends, family, business associates and others or checking local malls or other locals in search of prospects, says Jackie Ulmer.

Ulmer has been marketing her MLM companies online instead since 1999 and has found this method vastly superior to other approaches. You can read more on her blog.

In the meantime, other online technologies have sprung up to make this method of running a home business almost exclusively from home even easier:

Blogs. Once personal online diaries, these are now great marketing tools for almost any kind of business. Learn more about using keywords and regular updates to manage your online business's Search Engine Optimization.

Facebook. The most popular of the major social media sites today, Facebook, despite recent privacy issues, remains a popular and powerful way to network with former co-workers and friends from college and other organizations building relationships which may eventually become prospects.

Twitter. Known as a micro-blogging platform allowing posts of 140 characters or less, this site allows you to draw "folloers", share a bit about yourself and provide a link back to your blog or Webpage for more information on what you have to offer.

LinkedIn. Combining the social networking power and group dynamic of Facebook with the micro-blogging of Twitter with its new "updates" feature, LinkedIn provides a more business oriented approach to social marketing.

E-mail. It remains one of the simplest and inexpensive means of marketing any business. Just take care not to spam or use prospect lists obtained from another source.

Can you recommend other possible online tools to market your online MLM business.

Avoiding MLM Scams With Scott Fox

Filed in archive MLM Opportunities on May 12, 2010

MLM or Multi-level marketing can be a legitimate business, but there are some things to consider, says Scott Fox of ScottFox.com and host of the ClickMillionaires show.

On this edition of the show, Scott answers a question from a viewer about multi-level marketing, network selling or direct selling as the process is variously called.

Scott's main points include:

Research the company. Has the company been around for a while? Look for scams, problems or ripoff reports online.
Look at the compensation plan. If you can't tell how you will be paid, how much or when you'll be paid, don't get involved!
Look at the product. Is there one and do people outside the MLM want it? Is the business more focused on recruiting new people instead of marketing a product or creating value?

Basically, Scott explains "Common sense suggests that real companies sell real products that real people really want."

Don't suspend your common sense and give in to the hype and the trust you may have in a relative or friend who's pitching the business, Scott recommends. Instead, evaluate the opportunity as you would any other investment.

Of course, well publicized cases have indicated that in some [...] Read More

MLM Marketing with E-mail

Filed in archive MLM Tips on May 7, 2010

When considering your MLM marketing campaign for your multi-level marketing or network marketing business don't forget e-mail.

MLM Marketing with E-mail
© dampeebe

This simple means of contacting perspective customers remains one of the most overlooked by beginning marketers.

But there are some very important things to remember when considering e-mail marketing for your MLM business.

Don't spam. Sending unsolicited e-mails to people who did not ask for your information is a definite no-no. Don't do it or even think about it. Your spam will be ignored at best and damage your reputation at worst with potential prospects who may block any future messages and in any case is a huge waste of time.

Don't buy lists. As tempting as it might be when starting out to purchase a list of prospects, remember that it can be difficult to varify the validity of these lists and that even if they are valid these people do not know you or have a elationship with you. So, receiving an unsolicited e-mail from a stranger may still be unwelcome.

Use social media. We've said it before and will likely be saying it again. Social media like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter developing your own relationships and then your own prospect list for more effective e-mail marketing.
